James has always been drawn to the surreal nature of this world. James found his calling in theater and has performed on and off Broadway, in regional theatre, and has been featured in dozens of film and TV shows. Along the way, his love for storytelling led him to writing prose and poetry as well as plays and musicals, which have been produced in NYC and Los Angeles. The natural progression was to film something he had written, so he adapted his one-act play Heavy Lifting into a short film. It became a festival favorite, garnering awards in every category, including Best Short Film in the Picture Start Film Festival in New York. James has a keen visual eye, and enjoys roaming the streets of Los Angeles, camera in hand. He’s also a life long student of Eastern traditions such as Zen and Advaita Vendanta.
